From 11 to 14 August 2014, ASN in collaboration with FAO, the AU and other parners, has organised in Abidjan the following inaugural meetings:
- ASN Scientific and Technical Committee Meeting: the Committee was composed by high caliber international seed experts. The participants have revised the ASN strategy for the development of the seed sector for the next ten years in Africa.
- ASN Governing Board Meeting: the Board is responsible for integrating decisions taken by the Scientific and Technical Committee. The participants provided overall guidance and took major decisions about the restructuring of ASN.
- General Assembly of the Forum for African Seed Testing (FAST): this meeting has allowed discussing and deciding upon the FAST workplan for the mid-term.
